Hoya Youth Competition Squad: The Youth Competition Squad has one team consisting of 2nd through 5th graders. The squad size will vary based on talent and skill levels assessed at tryouts and is determined by the competition coaching staff. Candidates are encouraged to be actively enrolled in tumbling classes. Skills assessed at tryouts include cartwheels, back/front walkovers, any higher level tumble skills such as back handsprings that have been mastered by the athlete, motions, routine knowledge, toe-touch jumps and overall presence and spirit. 

Competition try-out fee is $25. Try-outs will be held in April. You will pay the try-out fee at the time of registration- the tryout fee will be applied to registration. Following try-outs, if your athlete is chosen for the squad, you will then pay the $400 registration fee (less the $25 tryout fee) for the 2025 season plus $250 volunteer deposit. Volunteer fees are refunded once the volunteer requirements are met. $250 for 1 child; $400 max for 2+ children.  Only one deposit per family.

**If registering for BOTH sideline and competition cheer, you will receive a $100 discount when competition registration is paid (total $700 for both plus volunteer deposit)**
